In November 2022, just a month after I left my agency job of eight years, I made the decision to embark on the journey of building Banfana.

It was a pivotal moment in my professional life. I felt such a strong conviction that there was a different way to build an agency. One that both both put people and clients first, not sacrificing either.

I believe we've done that at Banfana by keeping our team small, our client load light and our hunger for growth unlimited. But still the question persists,

Why start another Google Ads agency? What makes Banfana different?

Now that we’re approaching our 1 year anniversary, our first website launch & a host of other milestones, I thought it was apt to write a note about our vision, and of course The Banfana Difference.

Our Vision 👀 -

In the words of one of my favorite authors, Matt Mochary, from his book "The Great CEO Within," the most important reason to start a company is to “deeply understand real customers and their problems”.

My dream is to build a company where we maximize freedom & impact. 

Easier said than done but this is the cornerstone of Banfana:

- Freedom. First, for our team members to work where/how they want, freedom for them to grow and help craft their own journey, freedom for them to deliver the best possible work for our partners by eliminating artificial boundaries. 

- Impact. Through Google Ads and through growth marketing. That means hyper-focusing on a select few accounts per person where we are intimately involved in the day to day operations of a business. Next, we put the best people in partnerships that they are motivated to work on. We combine expertise with motivation and the result are partnerships that last for years.

Where does growth marketing play into our model? 

Right now, we are a Google Ads agency. That may change in the future as we expand our product offering but it certainly doesn’t limit our impact in the near term.

Our team members are encouraged to try to impact the business in any way they can. Google Ads is the vehicle in which they initially try to make that impact but they have the freedom to expand where the partnership sees fit. This is why we provide training and value to our partnerships through creative endeavors (static and video), CRO, landing page creation, product feed management, customer cohort analysis, and more.

Our commitment to going beyond the confines of a single marketing channel and delving into broader business outcomes is what sets us apart.

Lead By Example 💡 - 

I firmly believe that the traditional agency-client model can and should be different.

In my professional opinion, the only thing that separates how well an agency performs is talent. At Banfana, we are building our team with the best people, recognizing that the happiness, motivation, and growth of our team members ultimately benefit our clients.

And we are not an agency that loads our team up with accounts and checks in every now and again. Our philosophy is low accounts, hyper-focused on a select few businesses per manager. 

Banfana is not a high volume business. We are selective with our partnerships because we care about fit and most importantly, we care about our people. As such, our model does notfit every business type or stage, we understand that but we also believe this is a crucial aspect of our value.

Being Small Is Our Superpower 🦸 -

Our size enables us to work with partners in five different countries and from all around the world. It allows us to offer personalized experiences to our clients and give them the attention they deserve. Above all, it enables us to put our people first.

One year in and we’ve grown our team from 1 to 6 team members, kept every single partner we’ve started with and added more.
