Attention Beauty Brands ๐Ÿ’„ In this blog we're going to be talking about 3 frameworks you can use to customize your Product Titles in Google Shopping

Here are 3 Frameworks you can use to customize your Product Titles in Google Shopping.

โ€

Example Brand: Cardon

โ€Example Product: Dark Circles Skincare Set

โ€

I wanted to make this post to provide brands a framework for creating and testing different shopping titles in Google Shopping.

2 key questions I address in this post:

1) What title could you lead with knowing the customer only sees a snippet of your product title?

2) What searches do you want to tell Google to prioritize? Last note, Iโ€™ve used all 3 of these examples. If you lead with one, you can put the other ideas either at the backend of your titles or in your descriptions and product type attributes.

So here goes nothing!

โ€

Idea #1: Ingredient Based Product Names

For this title, you would lean into the unique product ingredients or formula.

ExampleTitle: Clay Based, Hyaluronic Acid, Haloxyl, Caucus Extract - Dark Circles Skincare Set

โ€

Idea #2: Problem Based Product Names

For this title, you would lean into what the product solves. Ask yourself, what challenges are my prospective customers trying to solve? In Cardon's example, itโ€™s dark eye circles and wrinkle protection.

Example Title: Sooth Dark Eye Circles, Wrinkle Protection, Anti-Aging Skincare - Cardon Dark Circles Skincare Set

โ€

Idea #3: Solution Based Prodcut Names

For this title, you would lean into what the product(s) gives the customer.

Example Title: Best Non-Toxic, Clay Cleansing, Skin Brightener, Deep Hydration - Cardon Dark Circles Skincare Set

How to determine which one to use?

I like to look at a few things:

โ–ช converting non-branded search terms

โ–ช search volume & competitiveness for those keywords

โ–ช customer reviews

โ€

That should give me an idea about what keywords I want to lead with based on what Iโ€™m likely to convert for, what auctions are going to scale & what my customers actually say about my product. Then you test. And you go back and you retest.

Ultimately, the name of the game is to win the buy box for a given set of keywords that convert well.
